Battles

From castle sieges to dungeon dives, characters get a workout.

At set increments, Factions will battle. These battles will play out automagically similar to a turn-based wargame set on battlefields, in strongholds, and deep in dungeons. Players can watch the “play-by-play” as Characters use their abilities, hack and slash, sling spells and more. If it’s watched in real-time, great. If not, the entirety of the Battle, including moves, performance stats, outcomes and everything in between can be accessed whenever.

Characters that are “fielded” in the Battles will accrue points for their performance in the Battles for things like

  • Damage Dealt

  • Damage Taken

  • Kills

  • Heals

  • Survival

And more — contribution to the Battle = points.

Battlefields will have effects on the performance of the Characters, similar to track conditions for horse races. Certain Characters will gain advantages, disadvantages, or tendencies (like to freak out or flee) from the situational makeups of the Battlefields.
